Girls 13 years old and older:
Go wild caving at Alabaster Caverns State Park! Be prepared to walk, climb, crawl, and belly slither your way through broken rock, gooey mud, and water while underground with only your headlamp as your source of light. Caves can take up to an hour to go all the way through. Don’t expect to use the clothes worn in the cave ever again; but expect to find out something about yourself!
The group will tent camp on Friday night and spend Saturday night sleeping in a cave wearing their helmets. Girls should have caving and camping experience and be ready to help setup and take down tents, cook, clean, and have fun.
Transportation provided from Tulsa's Hardesty Leadership Center. After the registration deadline you will receive a permission slip and a list of items to bring.
This is an individual event designed to supplement the troop experience; individual events give Girl Scouts the opportunity to meet new friends and have exciting outdoor experiences they may not have the opportunity to do with their troop.
