Girls must be 14 years old at time of trip to be eligible:

GSEOK is heading to Utah! Specifically Goblin Valley State Park with exciting stops along the way!  Our adventure will begin shortly after we roll out of the parking lot... we’ll take advantage these sites on our route: Gloss Mountains State Park,  Black Mesa State Park, Capulin Volcano National Monument, Mancos State Park, Hovenweep National Monument, Natural Bridges National Monument, Four Corners. 

Once at Goblin Valley State Park the group will base camp and have day hike adventures through the canyons! (Crack Canyon, Wildhorse Arch , Little Wildhorse and Bell Canyons loop, Ding and Dang Canyons loop and the Goblins Lair / Chamber of the Basilisk).

Girls will be tent camping throughout the trip. Multiple hikes, l-o-n-g days canyoneering, and a couple different rappels will occur. The rappel at the Chamber of the Basilisk is about 90ft. This trip is challenging but it is also achievable and worth the hard work!

March 25-27, 2022: Prep Weekend

May 13-15, 2022: Prep Weekend 

These prep weekends are a required part of the adventure as they are very important to the success of the trip both to get us physically conditioned and to ensure that we are able to work together as a team. We will also spend these weekends talking about needed gear and best practices for packing for the trip. Transportation for the prep camping weekends will leave from the Hardesty Leadership Center.

*Cost of the trip will be $600.00 with a $125.00 non-refundable deposit. 

What’s included in the program fee? Transportation costs, all meals, overnight accommodations, entrance fees, all activities, and Girl Scout insurance. Also included are the costs of the camping prep weekends.

*This trip will be led by a few of our highly experienced Outdoor Educators. They did this  same trip in 2012 and 2017.  We are excited to offer it again!
